About Donna Bryan

Donna BryanDonna Bryan was born in Surrey and has painted since childhood. She studied at Reigate college of Art and Design and attained a BA (hons) in Fine Art from Portsmouth Polytechnic in 1988. She exhibited her work every year in Alton’s Annual Art Society from 2010 until 2015.

For the past 5 years she has worked with young adults with physical and learning disabilities. On her 50th birthday she started looking for love and found her soulmate Chris Bryan. They had their honeymoon in Somerset and fell in love with the area and the countryside. She then made the life-changing decision to move to Somerset with her husband, six cats, a tortoise, two dogs, a hamster and several hens.

Moving to a new part of the country inspired her to dust off the art equipment and start painting again. One of her new year’s resolutions was to setup an online store where she could sell her artwork to a wider audience. Now that her and the family are settled in Wells she is now a permanent exhibitor at Glastonbury Abbey Muse.

Her main inspirations are various mythologies, conservation and natural landscapes. She likes to show how we interact with all these things, encompassing a wide range of colours, styles and materials.
